A balmy climate, wide, leafy decks and a BBQ, provide outdoor relaxation both in Winter and Summer. Across the road is the track which, in a 1 minute stroll, takes you to the lovely, white, sandy beach. The shops and boat ramp are a two minute drive away. The area offers walks, fishing, surf-casting, sand-boarding, windsurfing, boating, horse-riding, wining and dining or just chilling out.An area rich in Maori history, explore the harbour by boat or make a day trip to the Bay of Islands. The sub-tropical climate makes it perfect for a Winter holiday. Approximately 1 hour from Kerikeri,driving time is 3-4 hours from Auckland. Drive up State Highway 1 to the foot of the Brynderwyn Hills (about 100kms north of Auckland) and turn left to follow the sign posts to Dargaville on the Kauri Coast Highway (about 70kms from the turn off). Omapere is about 60-75 minutes north of Dargaville.
